Purpose Is Life, Inc. Receives Walmart Local Community Grant

Washington, DC— Purpose Is Life, Inc. a Washington, D.C. based nonprofit focused on providing services to adolescents and young adults from underserved communities, announced today that it was named the recipient of a Walmart Local Community Grant through store #5698 on Georgia Avenue.

“We are excited to be a recipient of Walmart Giving,” says Jamill C. Jones, CEO and Founder, Purpose Is Life. “Our goal for the funds is to provide direct materials, supplies, and materials to families in need during the holidays.”

This program is part of a long history of Walmart’s commitment to giving back to the communities where they operate. In fact, Mrs. Helen Walton used to say, “It’s not what you gather, but what you scatter that tells what kind of life you have lived.”
In the coming months, Purpose Is Life will launch further programs focused on supporting under-resourced communities in the Washington DC area.
