By leveraging community outreach, social engagement, educational resources, and peer-to-peer empowerment, Purpose is Life, Inc. —a 501(c)(3) based in Washington, DC—equips adolescents and young adults from underserved communities with the necessary life resources to help them become effective leaders, smart business owners, and productive citizens.

Purpose Is Life, Inc.—a 501 (c)(3) based in Washington, DC—is a community outreach organization, built upon the belief that every individual should have the opportunity to achieve their fullest potential. Through programming and events we have an ambitious goal of being an innovation disruptor and desire to invigorate mentorship and community-based activities for our youth.

For decades, statistics have shown that within urban and low-touch areas throughout the United States, adolescents and young adults are being underserved with limited community/social service options. Thereby, enlarging the inequity gap between their counterparts.

Created with the goal to serve the nation’s capital, Washington D.C., Purpose Is Life, promotes a community where diverse life experiences are celebrated, and works to develop programs to help the youth reach their fullest potential and enrich future generations.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Recognizing the need to develop socially responsible leaders for tomorrow, we create programming to prepare youth for life and provide them with resources and tools needed to succeed. Through “purposeful” programming, we hope to encourage lifelong learning, strengthen communities, and foster social responsibility. Below is a list of the key services offered by the program:

We are extremely grateful for the partnership and relationship built this school year. From your efforts to help us feed families for Thanksgiving, providing us with 100 turkeys and food baskets, to most recently supplying our students with school supplies, pencils, paper, markers, crayons, we are forever thankful!
