Purpose Is Life, Inc.<\/em> Receives Walmart Local Community Grant<\/strong>

Washington, DC\u2014 Purpose Is Life, Inc<\/em>. a Washington, D.C. based nonprofit focused on providing services to adolescents and young adults from underserved communities, announced today that it was named the recipient of a Walmart Local Community Grant through store #5698 on Georgia Avenue.

\u201cWe are excited to be a recipient of Walmart Giving,\u201d says Jamill C. Jones, CEO and Founder, Purpose Is Life<\/em>. \u201cOur goal for the funds is to provide direct materials, supplies, and materials to families in need during the holidays.\u201d<\/p>

This program is part of a long history of Walmart\u2019s commitment to giving back to the communities where they operate. In fact, Mrs. Helen Walton used to say, “It’s not what you gather, but what you scatter that tells what kind of life you have lived.”
In the coming months, Purpose Is Life<\/em> will launch further programs focused on supporting under-resourced communities in the Washington DC area.
